Exercise Help

This is the main section for all of your exercise related functions. Here you can create, manage and browse workouts available at FreeTrainers. We also provide a general guide to the basics of exercise along with a complete list of exercises with complete muscle details to help you understand why and how certain exercise work with specific muscles of your body. Use your calendar to stay on track of your plan!

How do I create an exercise program?

To get started, simply click on the Find Workouts link and browse the current list of available types of programs that we offer. If you already have a program and wish to start a new one you also use this same method to create a new plan. This will replace your current plan.

What is My Calendar

This is the area that outlines your current exercise schedule based on the program FreeTrainers created. The calendar on the top right hand side displays the days that you exercise in bold. You can click on the dates to view your exercise schedule for that day. The main area of the page describes the exercises, repetitions and sets to follow. Complete descriptions of each exercise are available if you click on the name.

You need to have created your workout plan, otherwise my calendar will be empty. To create a plan, simply click on Find a Workout to get started.

What are My Workouts

This is your list of current workout plans that you are following. To view detailed information about this workout such as the schedule of the days of the week for exercise, moving the starting dates ahead or back as well as stopping the workout are all available.

You need to have created your workout plan, otherwise my workouts will be empty. To create a plan, simply click on Find a Workout to get started.

What is My Logsheet?

Your logsheet contains the information that you decide to store and record with each session per day. Items such as the total number of repetitions, weight used or length of time for your cardio session are stored for reference. You will also be able to create charts and progress charts of your programs to view progress or areas that need improvement. You can use the history table on the right to select dates of saved logsheets you may have.

You need to have created your workout plan, otherwise your my logsheets will be empty. To create a plan, simply click on Find a Workout to get started.

What is Find Workouts?

This is where you can browse and select the specific type of fitness plan that will meet your specific goals. Our list will continue to grow each day as we continue to aim to create the largest free online database of exercise plans available. Once you have selected a plan, click on the link and follow the quick instructions.

Once you have created your workout, you can access it by clicking the My Workout links or view the actual daily detailed schedule through the My Calendar link.

What is Browse Muscles?

This is where you can view helpful information on the muscle groups of your body along with the key exercises that are used to tone and build them. Simply click on the muscle group or click on the muscle name to access information. Each muscle group contains general information, anatomy guide and exercise essentials.

Click on any of the exercises to view detailed photos and exercise descriptions to help you perform the movements in a safe, correct and beneficial fashion.

Our online fitness resource for everything and anything dealing with exercise. From definition to calculators to a full injury guide, you'll find a vast amount of information to help you better understand exercise and the many benefits.
