I work from 10 at night until 6 in the morning. I am thinking about working out when I leave work. I have a real hard time trying to find the time when I get up in the afternoon due to the fact of children and homework plus their sports. Can someone lend some good advice. Thanks

Yeah. Try and eat something before hand, about 2-3 hours before. I used to have 3 practices a day somedays, and one of those practices was a practice from 9-11pm in NJ, after having to get up to run at 5:30AM. The best thing I did was drinking a gatorade and eating a power bar on the ride there. It may sound cliche, but it helped.

I am not sure if you understand my ? or maybe I didn'T really explain what I wanted to know. See now I go home at 6:15 am from work and go to bed and then get up around 3 in the afternoon and try to go to the gym. Is there a big difference about changing my rountine from before I go to bed compaired to before I go to sleep? And since I am on third shift?

oh, sorry... probably a better idea to do it before hand. Just try to wake up at the same time consistently, even on days your not training. If its not long after you wake up, make sure to warm up properly. I used to lift on a twice daily split, but my early workouts i had to warm up about twice as much, because my body wasn't ready to do work yet. Hope this helps.

its kind of like your schedule is the opposite of a normal schedule. say i work 9 to 5, i would prefer to work out before 9 as my testosterone is at its highest early in the am, and i have the most energy. same thing in your case, working out after you wake up.

For me it's the opposit :) I prefer working out just before sleeping cause if i train in the morning, i feel like my muscle are not totally resting during the day, if i go to bed, then they ll really rest
maybe it s only in my head :p
