Im not entirely sure what your asking, but if you are asking whether weightlifting will cause you to lose muscle, then no. The muscle tissue gets broken down, but then grows back. With long bouts of aerobic exercise, you lose muscle because your body burns muscle for energy. Hope this is what you wanted, welcome to freetrainers, and be sure to fill out your profile.
where are your from, btw?

-------------- The best feeling in the world is the feeling you get after a tough set of squats after you step back from the power rack and throw up all over the floor.

wrestler125 thank you very much, btw i am from China. sorry, my english is poor, so you mistake my question, i just wonder somebody said cardio not only make you lose fat but also muscle, why not the muscle which lost by cardio can grow back like the lost muscle by weightlifting do?

This is because when you do weights you are building muscle by the resistance of the weights. When you do most cardio there is no overload to make muscles grow. Also when you do cardio you are expending a lot of calories unlike weight lifting which uses fewer calories.

The best thing to do is limit your cardio to 3 or 4 days a week for 30 minutes. If it is intense enough it's a good workout. Try to lift on the days you don't do cardio. If you have to do them both on the same day, separate them by 6 or 8 hours.
Welcome to FT.

I think your english is fine for someone from another country. You speak english better than some of our english speaking members (neov3).
Aerobic exercise breaks down muscle differently than weight lifting. Charlie gave some good advice.

thanks for praising .not as you said, i do hope or believe that lost muscle by cardio could recover by enough protein diet. i don't think that cardio can make you strong, neither it will make you more weak. do u think so? if as you said, the lean muscle build by weightlifting will be lost by most cardio? and how to balance the cardio and weightlifting ? i think cardio is very good exercise to heart and lung, as well as to make us fresher.
