widen shoulders

i know i need to focus on exercises that work on the side deltoid, butI was wondering if anyone had any comments on workouts that gave them decent results?

overhead dumbbell and or barbell presses work great you could also try front and side lateral dumbell raises or you could check with a trainer at your club on which machines are available for that exercise good luck

If you haven't already checked out the resources at the top of the screen, it's well worth the time. The link below gives a bit of anatomy plus lists many exercises to target the shoulder area. Don't target just the delts - they look nice when pumped but are only a small part of what you want to improve. HTH.

Mike is right on, makes an excellent point. Overall shoulder developement is your answer. As far as a more isolation type exercise, I prefer cable side laterals over dumbbell simply for the reason you cannot cheat as much, you have the constant tension of the cables pulling back on you, and you can do an isolation isometric type exercise when fatigued after a set. Read the link Mike gave you for a good rounded total shoulder workout.
