Okay I am currently in the Weight Loss/Definition program here at ft. I have tried getting this question answered by searching in fit buddy under the words "whey protein". However, the post that came up did not answer all of my questions. I am on my 2nd week in the program and it has been about 4 weeks since I first started working out. Should I be using whey protein at this stage. If so how often/when should I be taking it. I can really only afford to take it two times a day with my current budget. If you haven't read my profile you know that my primary goal is to lose weight and tone up, but once that is accomplished I plan to go for some more muscle mass. Any advice will help. Thanks!

Should I have asked this in the nutrition forum? I am surprised to see no answers after almost 24 hours. If this is the wrong forum please move it to the appropriate one. Thanks!

Whey would be good post workout. Also if needed to fill your required protein needs, but pwo is most necessary.

Thanks for the advice guys. I have decided to go with 20g 1h prior to my workout and 20g immediately following my workout. I saw this suggested in another thread here at ft. Does that sound reasonable?
