is whey powder good for when you are trying to lose weight?

a lot of it just comes down to caloric intake. whey powder can be used for all sorts of things, and adding lean muscle mass is one of them. as long as you're not taking A LOT of it, it's not going to put too many calories into your body so it's not an issue.

Don't eat as much food as you do now. Cut out something like soda, fast food if you eat it, late night snacking, whatever. Just take in less calories than you do now, or start doing more cardio or something, depending on your goals.
