I am finishing up the 4 week program for the home gym, my addition was dbs instead of soup cans, I am way tougher then that
I am training every day, on the off days from lifting I am doing either body wieght tabatas or callanetics (bodywieght and stretching technique, was popular way back.. uhoh told my age :P:)) I also walk to work everyday, 1 1/2 mile, rather a nice topping on the cake so to speak.
Progress has really stepped up since I have started doing this every day workout, each week I swap up either 2 sessons of tabatas or 2 sessons of callanetics, the wieght training has remain steady throughtout th 4 weeks. I have added more wieght, swapped around how I lift, always striving to keep the intensity up.
I feel great but I am wondering, okay the 4 week program is ofer, where to now. Do I stick with the same routine or should I swap out some of the exercises?
My home gym is comprised of me and the dbs right now.
Suggestions?
Thanks suzy

Sounds like you're making great progress! I'd continue for another 4 weeks (or just grab a new 4 week program...or even a new 8 week program) A new program may give you some new "moves" which is always good for motivation and variety. How do you feel with your current routine...is it too easy, is it just right, are you enjoying it, what are your goals?...these are all questions to ask yourself. Looks to me like you have a great routine going with your wts and cardio...I say just keep at it, your doing great.

Oh my gosh, I used to do Callanetics! Good ole Callan Pinckney! I did those when I was a stay-at-home mom and they actually were pretty effective, considering. That was in my video only workout days.
Anyway, as fly said, your routine looks pretty good...as long as you continue to feel challenged and aren't getting bored.

Great responses thank you ladies. Callanettics is one of those basics that worked for me for years..a tool I have to dust off and reused.. . Personally I like doing a different type of training every day, keeps me motivated. What I may do is swap out some of the different excersizes on the 4 week. The 8 week looks great but calls for machines and barbells on some of the moves.. kind of leaves me out, must research and find alternatives I guess : ).
Thanks for the comments, have a great day all
