I need to lose about 10lbs. I would like a flat stomach. Should I wait to do ab exercises till I lose the weight first? My broinlaw says I will gain muscle there and look more bulky. Is that true? I think he says for me to wait. What should I do?
vivavegas - working your abs for endurance without weight will not bulk them up, it will pull in your waistline internally and help you build a stringer core, don't forget to work your lower back to balance out ab work.
Work you entire body, that is the only way to have a balanced physique.
Pilates type abdominal work is great for learning core control and using all of the core muscles.
Is your bro-in-law a trainer?
As far as uncovering all of those beautiful muscles you are working hard to build (right?) you will need to refine your diet to lose the fat.
