Hello,
I wanted to get some opinions - when is it best to do a cardio workout - before weight training or after? Thanks!

Is it okay to do it before? I like to get it out of the way so I do it first

Depends on your energy level kat. If you feel good after doing it, then you do strength training, go with it. It tends to zap some of your potential lifting power by doing it before. Also, it depends how much time in between also.
Good luck.

Just depends on what you want to acheive?
I like to run/do cardio on the off days myself.
I do a little cardio warm up before I hit the weights, I do this to stretch out and warm up my muscles, it just feels right. Some think they need to save all their energy for the heavy weights.

I do my cardio b4 the weights. I tried to reverse it and I was to tired to do the cardio. Guess it 's different for everybody.

To change it, or to create it, simply train it!

that's what I am afraid, that I will be too tired... but I'venever tried to do it after. I think I will though - to see how it goes.
thanks for the feedback!

If you want better gains (in weight training and cardio) and more fat burning, then do your cardio AFTER weight training.

AGree with Philia2, that's what I do if I do a cardio the same day as weight training. I do what Intruder does too, i.e., warmup before lifting. Works great to get blood to the muscles and allow for more elasticity and greater range of motion for weight training.

I always say after. I wholeheartedly believe (I think it has been VERY well proven) that the fat-burning effect of weight lifting far exceeds that of cardio. Personally I'd rather have that energy for lifting and not cardio. Personally, when I'm on a cutting phase, I train 5-7 days a week, three days of weights and cardio only on off days.

If I do cardo after lifting, when is the best time to take creatine? Currently I ride the bike for 10 min before my workout to warm up and take Cell-Tech immediately after my lifting. I would like to add 30-45 min of cardio after my lifting. Also (slightly off topic) should I take creatine after my cardio only days?

Thanks you all for your great advice this site is the best!

Take your creatine after you're completely done with your workout and on your way out of the gym or at home.
You should be taking creatine every day. In order to maintain the benefits, your muscles have to be saturated with the stuff. Many people load, taking 20g a day for a week, then continuing with 5g a day after that. Though it is not necessary to load, if you're going to cycle (which I think you should) loading makes the process a little more efficient.
