Hi Everyone, I used to drink a lot of coke and sugary pop and I'm trying to cut down to diet pop only. What are the facts on diet pop? good, bad?

In moderation, I believe its ok, watch out for the aspartame, and sodium though.

they are okay in moderation, like one glass a day i try to do it every other day because they are sodium laced...but it really isnt nething to worry about unless you have something like high BP...

A recent meeting of oncologysts refused to enter a room where diet soda was being served....hmmm? Cancer-risk? Drink water.

I have heard that your body doesn't know what to do with the artificial sweeteners because it can't process them. Guess what your liver does with things (toxins) that it can't process? It sticks them into storage in fat pads until it has the time or ability to deal with them - this is also partially why alcohol causes the classic beer belly. i dunno, it is nice to have a diet pop now and then, but water is going tp do tons more for you in the long run healthwise!

Water would definitely be better.
