Today, I went excercising (man I'm getting so siked. Second day. Whoohoo) and went on the eliptical machine. Since I just started, I only did 15 minutes of HIIT at a nine resistance level. It was really cool. I've never sweated that much in my whole life nor have I felt that good. My heart rate was sky high for EVERafter it. Anyways, I thought that HIIT was awesome and I've decided to do it every day (or try to) and swim and weight lift. Yep. Five days a week. Well, all I have to say is thank you FREE TRAINERS. I feel like I'm actually doing something...anways...

Good for you for being so excited about exercising!
Now - don't do HIIT every day and HIIT shouldn't keep your heart rate up the entire time or for a long time afterwards - start out gradually and give your heart time to incraese its fitness level or you won't get anywhere but fatigued.
Try to do cardio (HIIT and other types) on days that you don't weight train. and alternate between HIIT and steady state types of cardio.
Make sure you are working recovery intervals into your HIIT and cooling down afterwards - you heart rate should go up but should recover within 3 minutes or so to a lower rate, not as low as your resting heart rate, but not above 65-70%. HIIT menas you warm-up at a lower pace, then do an interval of maybe a minute, then recover 1-2 minutes, then an interval of a minute, then recover 1-2 minutes. You alternate high intensity intervals with moderate inetensity recovery intervals and always cool-dwon for 3-5 minutes afterwards to let your heart rate come back down.

I tried HIIT for the first time today as well, and my first thought was, "damn, that was too easy."
I'm guessing I did too little (4 minutes) but the guide I found off Google said to start out slow and build up to 15 minutes over several weeks.
