I have heard that In order to be a professional bodybuilder
You also have to be slighty anerexic(spelling) Is that true? I have seen some of the sacrifice they make? Sorry I don't mean to offend anyone? Just curious. -------------- We must take care of our bodies, its where we live. |

That is NOT true. A professional bodybuilder will eat more in one day than the average person would in a week...

Great new board Adrian. Anyone who has ever had a weight problem will benifit. Most of us don't have true eating disorders but know or love someone who does. It is a very difficult thing to beat. Its also difficult to lend support to because its mental and physical.
Great idea. Thanks. -------------- Some times life is like herding cats. Charlie | |

Hi,
I have a very hard time with food. If I really push myself I can take in around 800 calories a day. I have to plan my menus several days in advance and then stick to them or I run around 600 calories. Does anyone have any ideas? I'm not sure how many calories a day I should be getting. I'm 5'3" and weigh 145lbs. I would like to lose 10lbs but I don't think eating less is a good idea for someone who struggles with food to start with. Thanks for any help! Anni |

Anni, with that little amount of calories, how do you function during the day? Do you work out? My advice would be to actually increase your caloric intake while increasing daily activity (workout). Your body has probably gone into starvation mode and therefore, will not lose any weight.-------------- **_Robert_** Pain is temporary; glory is forever! E-mail: rpacheco@freetrainers.com |

Hi Robert,
No, I don't work out, I'm pretty tired all the time and don't feel all that well. I just got a pedometer to see how my activity level is and I'm walking 2-3 miles per day just going through my normal routine. I have always struggled with eating but just didn't realize that it had reached this level. I thought everyone who struggled with food was too thin so it never occured to me that I wasn't eating enough. |
