So I spend a lot of time lifting as do all of you. The usual reasons for this are, for health, too look better, to be a pro among others. But there is another more practical reason that is usualy not mentioned. The ability to do "real" work. I am talking about digging, cutting lifting and carrying heavy things. That to me makes all the hard work i do in the gym worth it. I went to a cookout sat night and went with 2 other men to get the pinic table. It was a long heavy table. They carried the one end I got the other. About 50 ft from our stopping place they had to rest. LOL I tiold them to start lifting! This was after spending 5 hours early digging up old concrete and placing paving stones all day. One chunk of rubble weighed about 200 I picked it up and moved it thanks to deadlifting I have been doing. What I am saying is use the gym for not only looking better, or getting better health, but also for just being able to do that work that you need to do without effort. It makes you feel so good to be able to lift or move that object that friends need 2-3 people to move...
-------------- Squats are really a very good thing, but in my world, Deadlifts are King!!!!!!!!
