I have unwanted fat that I really want to get rid of. I know that weight training will help build muscle and that will help burn more fat, so I'm doing that 3 times a week. But how much cardio should I add to help burn that extra fat away?

Try and go for at least 4 cardios a week, 20-30min .
Watch your heart rate if you are a beginner.

Well it all comes down to your total daily calorie needs and how much you'll be burning.
If you stay strict on your diet then 3 times 30 mins of cardio a week is enough.
