Yes mine fluctuates heavily during the day. When I wake up in the morning and step on the scale im 153 pounds when I go to bed Im around the 165 mark. Depends on how much water is in your body and the food you consume each day as well....It's probably just water weight though 4 pounds isnt anything to worry about. When it comes down to it im still 153 *disappointed*

I must not fear.
Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear.
I will permit it to pass over me and through me.
And when it is gone past me I will turn to see fear's path.
Where the fear has gone there will be nothing.
Only I will remain

so what is the best time to weigh oneself....

I was so excited yesterday when i was 208 and down today cause i was 212....

as an aside I did some 8 hours of landscaping for a friend this weekend...worked my butt off -- I guess I can subsitute my work out that day for that amount of work right?

As soon as you get up in the morning. Dont eat anything just go right to the scale.

I was told to pic a time & do every week at that time - please note that I didn't say daily - so first thing on Tuesday morning is my time

I think Reddy's idea is the most practical. Same time-weekly. However, if your trying to lose weight, then for ego's sake, weigh in the morning.

I know this post is really old...but I'm glad I searched for it.
I can gain 10 pounds from morning to night and while I know it's water weight, it's still not nice to read that on the scale!
