OMG i love body pump lol, i am almost an addict. i can go without it but only to rest the muscles and i totally look forward to the next time. it's the music, the instructor and personal achievements for me. give it a go, it really is an awesome class. don't be scared to talk to the instructor with any questions about, what weight to start off with, proper form (that's important), rest, water etc.
give it a go you'll love it lol
cheers

did my first ever body pump today and it was great cant wait to do it again..but i bet i will have aching muscles tom. did not realize you can sweat that much just by lifting weight only did light weights but really felt great after..people where very nice aswell giving advice and all.
babyg25 do you still do seperate weight training?
i dont have weights here at home just one dumbell really and as i enjoyed the class very much do you think doing it twice a week is enough plus one cardio session cant do anymore than this really coz i have 2 kids to look after and can only get out when husband feels like driving me to the classes. well i guess a little exercise is better than nothing.
anyway just wanted to update...thanx

i do extra squats/deadlifts and lunges and i use the free weights to work on proper form for both upper and lower body exercises. i wouldn't say that i have a routine other than classes though.
i'm glad u tried the class and that you love it. i was pretty scared first time too......
cheers
