I am doing weights for 5-6 monhs, and I definately have improvement, but I would like to know what sort of exercise
routine to do, which will help reduce waist and also keep the upper body growth and muscle development the same.

To put on muscles on your upper body try to do the 12 weeks exercise routine you'll find in here at FT.

To reduce the size of your waist, only one word: DIET!!
