Hello!
I am on my university's trampolining team, and I was wondering what health benefits trampolining has?
There don't seem to be any major advantages, cos people of al levels of fitness go there. What makes a good trampolinist is rigid control over the movement of your body in the air. what area of fitness would this target?
I'm just curious!
Oh, and wish me luck, cos on the 14th march our team is doing a twelve hour sponsored bounce for comic relief!
Katie;)

A fantastic cardio workout. Works alot on the legs and and back. A good stretching method. I used to trampoline, front flips, back flips, 360 front and back flips, double flips. You'll find your back in incredible shape once you've done this for a while. It's helped alot with my deadlifts and squats. Just be careful when you have partners launching you on the trampoline. It can really jerk your neck. Speaking of, make sure to stretch your neck. Have fun, I wish I was you, sounds like so much fun

Wow Katie, I would so much like to jump with you!!!

I cannot help you too much but I can tell you from personal experience that I know you need to be in SOME good physical condition to be able to trampoline for a certain time.
I remember the abs, lower back and of course the legs getting a great work out.

Oh and tell us about the results after the 14th of March!!
