i am 6'2 88kg male 24 yrs old. i have been bulking up for a while and have put on a little fat which i would like to lose so i can get ripped. my question is how can i lose fat and not lose any muscle. if i do higher rep workouts my muscles are still breaking down butcoz of a low calorie diet, how will my muscles not get smaller?
Assuming that your diet is clean, bring your body fat down gradually by decreasing your calories slightly and keep lifting as heavy as you can. You have to give your body a reason to hang on to that hungry muscle.
If your diet still has some processed/refined foods in it, cut those out and add more fibrous vegetables, that will change your caloric intake and your digestion expenditure. You should drop some weight just from cleaning things up.
Once you have decreased your calories slightly (by about 250 calories/les/day) see how much change you see in two week's time. Then increase your cardio a little if you aren't seeing results yet.
-------------- If you fall down seven times, get up eight.
