hey all... i have a question, not sure if you all can answer it, but i'll ask anyway...lol. well, i used to run on the treadmill every morning. i heard around that the best time to do cardio workouts is in the morning because it burns more fat as compared to doing it later in the day whereas it burns more of the food you just ate rather than the fat you want burnt. but now i stopped running in the morning. this is because after i do a good 30 minutes, i step off and feel soooo dizzy. dizzy enough that i could throw up, that is, if i had anything in my stomach. thats what i think is the problem: i dont have anything in my stomach, and no energy to hold me up. i usually workout at 6am. and the last time i ate was 7pm of the last nite. so i doubt theres much energy to hold me up, causing me to feel dizzy. need your solution to my problem please...thank you!

Well, there is alot of debate around whether early cardio is really that much more effective. The bottom line for fat loss is calorie depletion. You need to burn more than you eat. Do cardio whenever you can during the day and feel comfortable. If you just started doing cardio though it may just be that you need to start out at a lower time period and build up. Also please fill out your profile so that the folks can better answer your questions.

Are you drinking plenty of water? You may be dehydrated or pushing yourself to hard.

And what about taking a protein shake before going to bed in the night time? Try that one (don't worry it'll not make you fat!!).
Secondly, did you just start with morning cardio? If yes, maybe your body simply needs some time to adapt.

One other thing to mention: continue to do your cardio on an empty stomach. You can do it anytime during the day, as long as it's on an empty stomach.

I used to have the same problem:
Mine involved a 2 mile run that I used to have to do for my fitness test while I was in the Army.
What I found was that the higher I cranked up the intensity the more likely I would puke.
2 miles in 14 minutes = not even breathin hard 2 miles in 13 minutes = no pukin-a little worked up. 2 miles in 12 minutes or so = Puke city.
I genrally ran six miles each day when not in the field. Never puked on those, we'd do 12 for shit's and giggles evryonce in awhile too...no puking, cause pace was measured.
The 2 mile runs were for testing, so I'd pretty much sprint the whole thing whenever it came up.
I did the above regularly for 5 years, and it never got better nor did it get worse, I just figured it was in my nature.
I wasn't the only one, there were quite a few of us in my unit that'd puke after the test.
I used to drink alchohol just about everyday, come to think about it.....they did too. Are you a drinker? that might be it.
Anyhow, I have since quit drinking....lol
I quit running too...lol
Try taking down the intensity a notch or two. If your shooting for wieght loss, it'll be more effective that way was anyhow. If your training for the triathalon or something similiar, run outside where you can puke at will wherever you like.
Don't underestimate the drinking thing either, after I stopped, my body chemistry went through some awsome changes.
I get almost get instant gratification when I work out these days. Something new begins to bulge out almost weekly :)
Good luck with the cardio, I appreciate you posting this question, and now I am beginning to consider running again myself.
I really enjoy the strength of character gains I get by enduring through the really long runs.
