I'm hoping that someone can give me a little advice. I "popped" out my hip three years ago in rehearsal the night before a dance competition. A whole bunch of stuff in the joint and my back was damaged, but I had no choice but to compete. (Adrenalin takes care of pain). The ligaments did not heal properly and I ended up with a ton of scar tissue in the hip and lower back. I have recently started training 5+ days a week, and the joint slips and locks into a bad (excruciating) position so that I can't move it unexpectedly. When I've been training hard it's fine, but as soon as I take more than one day off in a row, I'm in trouble. If anyone can help, I'd really appreciate it!

Well, you know it...... You're playing with your health....

Be careful with yourself, listen to your body and go see a doc!!!

I've gone to several doctors, who seem to think that I've got a piece of scar tissue that has worked loose and keeps getting stuck in a bad place in the joint. Apparently it will eventually reabsorb. I can live with pain, but I can't do pointe work or higher impact exercise, and I'd like to. From what I can tell, though, the joint itself is getting stronger.
