I have worked out off and on in my garage and have finally decided to make the jump to the gym. I have never worked out in a gym. Is there any advice you might offer to help me make the transition? I will be using the workout recommended by F.T. for free weights and machines. Thanks in advance.

I have been to the gym now for a few workouts. I can see that there is a lot of different ways and machines to work with instead of just free weights. I am partial to free weights on some excercises but the machines are great on others. I also like that I can get some cardio in after the weight training. So far I like it. I just need to figure out some of the machines. Fortunately I have a workout buddy that has been in the gym for years.
