I have been stuk at 12-13 lbs of weight loss for a bit.I am getting a bit frustrated with it.I was dropping like flies and now it has stopped.I know the body goes in to "preservation" mode.Is there anything I can do to kick start it.I am going to try and do a bit more cardio.I know this may cause so debate but I have the extra padding so I am not concerned with muscle loss at this point.IS this a plan or should I try something else

Shake things up a bit..the body and metabolism get use to burning at a set speed...if you shake up your eating/routine,you are sending a message to your body to get burning high again.
Sometimes all it takes it more weight,a little more cardio or diff exercises that you havent done before

Also double check your diet. Often times we begin to slip a little bit here and a little bit there after we've been loosing wt for a while. Make sure you're still eating clean. Also as you lose wt you need to re-adjust your caloric intake to reflect your new wt. Plateaus are common and I agree very frustrating. Stick with it though, you've done great so far!!

Read bb1's "diet thread" in the specific diet and nutrition forum. It is intended to "kickstart" your diet.
