Well I absolutely LOVE this site. I'm not too keen on the layout, needs a bit of work but it's free and it's given me an absolutely LOVE of the gym because it has so much variety. I had been doing the same routine for months and got sooo bored.
Anyways, here are my questions!
HOW DO I GET THE AB V LINES
I love those lines, they are really sexy but never in my 35 years of life have I had them. I do my routine here 3-5 times a week and no matter what I have on my fitness plan I put in 1-2 sets of abs. I'd like to know 3-4 different excercises I can do punch up those V lines. I've been told they are essentially the oblique muscles, is that right? Anyways, any help would be appreciated.
HOW OFTEN SHOULD I DO ABS?
I tend to like to eat whatever I want. I know diet's the key but it tends to be healthy food, not fast food. With this in mind I try to do whats on my fitness plan but also add 1-2 30-45 minute cardio bike periods in a week and as I said earlier abs in every workout. How often should I be doing ab works to help get a six pack?
I SMOKE, HOW'S THAT EFFECTING MY MUSCLE GROWTH?
I smoke about 5 cigs a day but haven't noticed it affecting any of my cardio and can run a good 5 miles without stopping. I'm trying to quit for general health but how is it effecting my muscle growth?
Thanks everyone for whatever help you can give!! Love FreeTrainers!!!

One More Question!
EATING LESS THAN 2500 CALORIS
The normal diet is supposed to be 2500 calories a day for an adult male but I think I consistently only eat about 2000 a day. I'm just not that hungry. How will eating these fewer calories effect my workout? I'm seeing my arms getting bigger and my chest marginally. My weight has also stayed almost exactly the same for the last two months during my working out.

In order to see what you're asking for it comes down to body fat. Eating less than you're required calories regularly will have your body adjusting to that amount and it will hold on to any and all fat it has.
Also, if you're eating like crap that will further screw up the problem. If you really want abs like you say, you know exactly what you have to do.. Diet, diet, diet (it is all in what you're eating).

Visible abs are a direct result of proper dieting. You need to reduce your body fat% plain and simple.
Eating fewer calories will make feel like you have less energy and it will make it harder to recover. Most of the time people have to cut back on volume or intensity while trying to lose weight. You will also probably loss a little bit of strength depending on your fitness level. A true beginner or even an intermediate lifter might experience some strength gains as a result of learning to recruit muscle more effectively.
