stiffness makes me stronger???

i have just ressently took a week off, an di mnjustno w getting back into things again..........but i have started to notice somthing for the past few moths and the 1st time i thoguht it was a fluke but it hanpend yet again.. after my hard leg day( squats and leg presses), and hard clean and shoulder day my whole body was pretty much sore, so i figured my chest and back day woudl eb a waste....this morning however my body was stiff but not sore.........but when i worked out i fellt 110% stornger i benched 225 for 11 reps dealifted 400 for 5 easy sets.........and every other lift was the same way I was doing reps like it was 10lbs.............whats up with this? did my body know i was sore so it recruited more muscle fibers? or am i just a weird freak?
