So can any of you tell me what exactly is the steam room for? How long should you stay in there? If someone sick goes in there before me, is it like a giant germ incubator? Is it safe?

It's just a room full of steam........ (o:
The heat will make you relax (the germs are killed from the heat), the oil (eucalyptus in the air!) will clean your skin (and lungs) and you'll finish all calm and with the skin of a baby......
It's safe yes (except if you got some serious health probs) but stay only 10-15 mins and take a cold shower after (great for the blood circulation).

Stay in 20 minutes max, and that is only if you are in dire need of losing weight fast. If you stay in for more than 20 min for more than a day or two, your body will actually accustom itself to the loss of water and will actually start holding water in anticipation of your next session.

Bringing back this oldie for you bb1fit :)
I've been taking 10-15 minute steams after every workout, and I workout 4-5 times a week. Is this too much? I am trying to get rid of a little bit of a beer gut and fat around my face. What are the consequences of your body adjusting to the steam room and holding water i nanticipation? Should I only be steaming after every second workout or something?
