Hello my free trainers family.
I'm am in and out of here as my computer is pretty slow so this question may have been asked before and I missed but here goes. Squats. Front or Regular. Is there an advantage to doing front as opposed to regular. The reason I ask is that it is very difficult for me to do front squats and I can't lift the same amount of weight. Is is okay in my workout when given front squats to just go ahead and do regular squats? Broaden my educationsl horizons here. Thanks.

I have been squating for years and I still cant get the fronts right lol.

your center of gravity is different on a front squat, that is why it is more difficult. It takes more lower back and your rotator cuffs and shoulders just to stabilize the weight, and when squatting it will destroy your abs. I like front squats because I lift using a westside barbell template and they are one way I change my ME excercise, as well as they are more sport specific (for wrestling). I would try both, and keep working at them. What are your goals? Only you can decide if you need to front squat to achieve your goals.

front squats work your rotatory cuffs do they??? in a good way or bad way??? and destroy ur abs as in?? also should u try holding ur posture the same while doing front squats as back squats??? obviously u b doing heaps lighter weight rite??

both variations are useful...front squats are very useful for olympic lifts....they work your legs from a different angles...but for general leg development....you can do either....feel free to substitute back squats for front squats...

Wait a minute. Whats this about being a 17 year male. Oh, that is sooo decieving. I would never have thought by the picture you are a dude. On top of that your from down under. Well, you are right when you say btw i aint what u think i em. I was fooled. I feel so nasty. For a guy you sure do have some nice buns though.

Well, timmstar. I wrote a previous message that didn't get posted for some reason but anyway I wanted to thankyou for clarifying the picture was of a very nicely shaped female. The one thing I ask is that when you get your own pic updated don't use the same body part as I don't think we could handle it, lol.
