What do you want? I mean what are your goals? You'll get nice toned muscles with this program, but I honestly doubt that you'll get huge muscle mass (but it can help if you are able to do half program in the morning and the other half in the night...... but then again you'll probably overtrain......).

Seany, here's the problem with your homemade program. When you work your chest, triceps and shoulders on the same day, you'll be overtraining 'cause you use your arms during all of the exercises! How are you going to lift heavy and be able to train each muscle group effectively? That's why ft's programs stagger the different muscle groups so you won't be able to overtrain. But, you know what...do what you want to do. Sounds like you'd rather listen to your PT. Do it your way for a couple of months. After that, come back and do the ft program for another 2 months. That way, you can compare!

The Question IS: Can u Grow, If you only work each body part ONCE aweek.... Sounds a bit weird... i would love to d o ft's programe rather than this confusing weird programe i came up with.. but I dont wana waist my time... ONe body part a week just sounds 2 easy... BUT if i hear that u guys have tried it.. and its not as easy at it sounds and can give me some Motivation to do it.. I WILL!!

Here's something for you to remember: you don't grow by working out...you do it when you sleep!!! Anyway, to answer your question, yes you can gain mass by working the muscle group once per week. However, you won't know until you try!!!

Well SEANYBOY here is a routine i have been on for a while and it has really paid off. Keep in mind you have to lift pretty heavy, light weights just wont give you the mass you are searching for.
Sun-chest/Biceps/ABS Tue-Legs/shoulders Wed-Triceps/ABS/Traps FRI-Back/ABS
Also there are some excellent programs on this site you should really look into. Just remmember to lift heavy.

actually you can grow working the bodyparts ONCE or TWICE a week. Thats because its not just about the "number of times you hit a bodypart" each week. Its about your diet, rest and supplementation. There is no one way, no one work out. Give something a try for a reasonable amount of time, if you don't see results change it.

Cheers Leslie, good answer from you, now finally SeanyBoy can get going with his program (and not just talk about it!) Come on young man, you'll not be wasting your time lifting heavy, you'll get the results, but just a little patience is needed.
Good luck!
