I've been finding lately that at times, I just don't have the time to eat properly, or don't have the time to document what I've been eating. As a student and army reservist, as well as a teen-ager with a social life, it can be hard at times. I also seem to find that I have trouble getting enough sleep.
Does anyone have any ideas as to how to keep track of this quickly and easily, or any fast and healthy meals? I often don't have the time to BBQ a chicken breast, or make myself a seafood pita.

Scott, barbecue a ton of chicken at once and then keep it in the fridge. It doesn't take any longer to cook a whole package of chicken. Also I kept track of my diet for a long time at Nutrawatch.com; there a lot of similar sites that keep a history so after you've done it a while you just have to click on your foods. I understand being pressed for time; I have a five year old in co-op school so I work in her school, my hb and I have a guitar shop and we travel a lot - I like to at least pretend I have a social life. LOL Good luck to you!

Eggs are always quick and good - and filled with protein.
With chicken I sometimes cook enough for 2 days...

Let's see if I cooked all my chicken for the week, that would be 28 lbs, and if I cooked all my eggs ahead of time that would be 77 eggs, not kidding it really would be those numbers, now what I do is try to cook every two days, so I don't spend all my time in the kitchen. Can't do that anyway, with my new job and working out, I have to keep things made up ahead of time.

I've got no 'quick n easy' answer, but I have found that sticking with the diet and exercise program can't be done without investing some time into it. Especially at the beginning. I am getting better at planning and preparing my meals ahead of time, but it is still time consuming. I've heard from a couple of different people that in the beginning the easiest way to stick to it is to eat the same thing every day, and at the same time every day. Plan a days meals that are within your goals and then get enough of it together for the week. It has made things easier and I don't have to think about it as much. I do that M-F and then take a more time on the weekends to fix something different, that I haven't already had 5 times...lol. If it's important to me then I'll find the time to do it.
....Of course you should see the mess my house has gotten in since I started this <laughs>.

Hey Scott,
The food thing requires planning and efficiency. That means thinking ahead, lots of plastic containers, and, like JessicaR and Sandy suggested, cooking in bulk.
As far as the sleep thing... man, when you get the answer to that one, please let me know!
