im a skinny guy and ive been working out. i dont eat a whole lot of fatty food except for some butter on bread and some cheese slices with bread every now and again. should i give these up too if i want to get really ripped or should it be ok?
also how about a 500 ml coke every 3 days or so? should soft drinks be ok if i have a hgih metabolic rate (which i suppose i have cos im skinny)

It all boils down to calories in vs calories out. However, by changing your macro nutrient balances you may get there a little faster. Here's a good model to try:
Protein 40-50% of calories
carbs 30-40%
fats 20-30%

The soda isn't helping you much because it's full of empty carbs.

I hope you want more than a six pack. I think six packs are over rated. Unless you plan on running around all the time without a shirt. And I think it gets pretty cold up there in the UK.
Anyway I think getting ripped for a person like you should be the easy part.. But it takes alot of hard work staying ripped. And to have the whole package should be your real goal.
