Should I modify my diet???

I am in my 3rd week of the exercise program. I am working out 3 days a week, (Mon Wed Fri) and doing 25mins cardio at the end of each workout. My diet is:
155g Protein
543g Carbs
38g Fats
3097 calories

I have been sticking to the workouts and really pushing myself but I still feel like I am not losing anything around the waist. Should I increase my ab/cardio work or modify my diet?

Primarily I want to burn off the little fat around my waist but I am trying to build up my arms and thicken my chest... Is it possible to gain mass in the upperbody while burning fat? I know you cannot spot reduce but just wondering if my protein intake make be affecting my fat loss? Or should I just stick with what I am doing because 3 weeks isn't enough time yet?

Wow....decrease your carbs! With that amount it would not be surprising if you werent't gaining weight! First step, clean them up. Any refined, sugary, high sugar sports drinks, anything with over 5 gr. or so sugar get rid of. This will make a big reduction I am sure. Eat good clean carbs, stuff that is grown...again, brown rice, sweet potatos(not white), beans(kidney, black, lima), green vegetables. This should significantly drop your carbs. Carbs in themselves are not bad, it is the type of carbs. And in your case trying to lose the amount.

As far as genetics go, the skies the limit. You are limited only by your mental perception of it.

Yeah I originally setup my account with fast metabolism becasue that's how I was when I was very active... I guess now that I am a little older my metabolism has changed... I will try and cut down the carbs and see what happens. What do you think my carb intake should be around? Thanks for the fast reply!

I think the last I read on here was 2/3 of your body weight in carbs? It was something like 1 to 1 for your protein, 2/3 for carbs, and 1/3 for good fats.

Someone quickly point out my mistake if that was wrong!
