I think it depends on what works for each person. Personally, I do abs everyday but I was also told that you should work your abs like any other body part, they need to rest to grow. But for me I got better results when I worked them everyday. I think the abs are the hardest body part to get in shape. Do what works best for you.
If you want to get abs fast, then you can do them every other day or you can do them every day but try getting some protein shakes. What protein does is that when you work out your muscles they tear and when they heal it builds more muscle. The reason why protien is good is because your body needs protein to heal the tearing so if you drink the shakes then it speeds up the healing process. So it really depends on what you want to do. Remember to only drink protien shakes if you are actually working out because if not you'll actually gain weight. I'm not an expert with the amount of protein you need so you'd have to ask someone else about that! Hope that helps though, good luck

I don't think you can target one area of your body for fat loss.
