hello every one. i have had an extreamly hard time getting myself out and running. i need the exercise for football and hockey but i just am not modivated enough. all help will be GREATLY apprecated
I have had similar problems in past but you have to look at how good you want to be at those sports. To be in shape you have to put in the miles. Eventually it will pay off. Personally what I used to do was set short term goals. ie run mile and half in certain time. Each time I went running I would try and beat that time. Eventually it became fun itself seeing the results and running became a buzz. But ultimately your chosen sports improve. Depends how far you want go.
macattack described it perfectly. You have to have a goal in running to keep it interesting. At least from my prospective on short distances. Long distances, you can take some time to actually look around and enjoy just being outside on a nice day and forget about what bills are due, work, money, etc. Try to think about uplifting things as well. I know that sounds like it's total quackery, however you would be surprised how much your mind controls your running. good luck.
