Had arthoscopic surgery to repair a torn rotator cuff on 19 July. Just started back to the gym. What are some good exercises that I can do to get rid of the flab that has started to hang on my arms!

it is way too soon to be trying to work anything having to do with your arms! you need to wait at least 6 weeks and before you start doing heavy lifting you need to be in some serious physical therapy. think of your shoulder as a screw that has come out of place. the surgery put the screw back into place, but you need the p.t. to make sure it's tight enough to really hold your arm in place. don't risk having to have another, more serious procedure done. rest and do p.t.!

I am in physical therapy. BUT my PT has me only using a piece of rubber band, to the neutral spot. I have been using light dumbbells...3-5 pounds to the front of me..a little more than he has me doing. I feel like I can do a little more. But I suppose I will have to wait a few more weeks.

Do as the PT says. I was on 6 weeks passive before they let me even lift it. If you re=tear it you'll have a bad day.
