Ok for the beginners like my self, i wasn't able to find a thread on here about reps and such. so my question is what is a rep, and what is a set, are they the same? Or does a rep count as 1 time the weight is lifted or does it count as 10 or 12 times the weight is lifted?
Correct. A rep is lifting the weight once. A set is a grouping of reps. So, if you are required to do 3 sets of 10 reps of bicep curls, you do 10 bicep curls (that's one set) then do 10 more (second set) and 10 more (third set).
Hope that helps.
