hey guys , i'm in need of a bit of help.
after reading a interesting article in a issue of Men's Health , i've decided to start a Replacement Meal shake diet.
here's the thing , im 15 , im 70kg and im not overweight and i actually have quite a bit of muscle on my body , but i worried that using diet shakes to cut back on some body fat percentage , that since they dont tend to contain much protein , im worried ill lose muscle mass as well. Anything i can do to keep the muscle while still burning the fat?

If you are 15, I wouldn't recommend this type of diet.
Eat a wide variety of healthy foods - lean protein, lots of veggies, oats, yams, brown rice and good fats like nuts.
You are still growing and need a lot of nutrients and calories.
Try increasing your activity level a little if you feel you need to lose fat. add in a few minutes walking/running in the morning or after school.
You will keep your mass by not creating too large a deficit calorie-wise and by eating enough protein to support your muscles' needs. Also - lifting weights will stimulate your muscle mass, giving your body a reason to hang onto the muscle.

thanks , i currently do alot of weights mixed in with some cardio here and there.
the way i understood it , if your burn more calories then you have taken in your body will start eating away at the fat stores to get energy , i thought the replacement shakes would work best this way.
