Hi all

Well i've been working out for over 5 years - i used to left heavy but have since opted for a more toned physique via lots of cardio and mid-weight/15-20 reps. I also picked up running (endurance: 45-60 mins) and yoga. Problem....my quads are INCREASING in size (argh!!). I have always easily gained muscle - it seems that no matter what i do i cannot get my quads to shrink!! Suggestions? My diet is pretty clean (no starchy carbs, high protein/fat sources, 4-5 meals a day) - except the occasional frozen yogurt and late night snack of cottage cheese before bed.

thanks!

Have you had your comp done? Is it muscle weight? Sounds like you are doing a lot of things that require leg strength and your body is responding the way it should, maybe stop lifting with your legs for a while and just doing the endurance type training on them? i know that a lot of the top level fitness competitors don't work their legs very much becasue they do so much cardio and they don't want 'bulky' legs, so maybe try just doing upper body and core resistance training and keep up your cardio and runing and see how your legs respond.
Oh, to lament the gaining of muscle - it always seems that those who gain easily don't want it and those who want the extra size have to really fight to gain it.
Good Luck!
