Push ups are tough, especially for women. You just need to start doing them on a regular basis and you will get better at them. If you have to, start from your knees until you get stronger. Also, have someone check your form, it can make a difference too. I like to place my hands quite wide, at the same level as my shoulders. If you have to, keep your butt a bit elevated or keep your back flat. Don't let your back sag down.
Good Luck and I know you'll be able to do them if you just keep working at it! It feels really good when you finally master them:big_smile:
-------------- Even if you are on the right track, you will get run over if you just sit there.

pushups is just supporting ur own body weight, and they work mainly ur chest muscles (secondary triceps and shoulders)..however just like weight lifting, u must give urself time to recover..if u did pushups on back to back days perhaps that is why u did less pushups..

Michelle, years ago, when I first joined a gym, I would be so envious of the female trainers, who could do so many pushups, and not even from their knees. The advice they gave me then, was to just include them consistently in my workout plan, and do them with proper form.... and then wait until I get stronger. I started out with 3, and for quite some time, that was all I could do, until I got stronger, and in the end I had reached my goal of doing 20 nice pushups with good form. I never got past that point, but give it time. Muscles need some time to build up. Don't give up.
