I've been taking protein supplements for a while. I always have about 2-3 protein shakes a day. However, I really want the protein to work the best. Lately, I've been taking protein shakes 1hr before I head to the gym then after a workout because I already had a shake just 2 hrs I usually eat solid food again. I have heard about taking a shake after workouts but lately I've only changed it because magazines are saying its even better to take it prior to working out. Can anyone confirm this or tell me otherwise.
