I was using soy protein, but I've heard that whey is much better. What is the difference between cocentrate, isolates, and blends...I don't know what protein is right for me. I definitely don't want a high calorie or high carb protein.

thanks

Concentrates max out about 80%. Isolates can be 90 and a bit up with generous measurement techniques.

A blend is a blend of these two, with others maybe added in. Probably simplest simce I am guessing by your post you are a newbie, go with the cheapest. If concentrates give you bloated feelings, gas, etc., you will be better served with isolate.

Protein folks are in a bunch of different camps. You have the ones who swear by concentrate because it is cheap, others who swear by isolates because they area a bit higher grade, folks who swear by isolate/hydrolosate because it is faster. Pick your camp, and join it. :)

In the end, will not make much difference if your diet is adequate.
