I just wanna share this with you since I`m so frustrated with this situation.

I cancelled my membership within 5 days as per contract and Ontario consumer law due to some dislikes.

I keep leaving messages with the corporate office with no repsonse. The girl that I was talking with is back tomorrow, I hope she had a good vacation because I`m going to make her first day a leaving hell

did any of you had problems like that or have any tips how to handle it ?

Currently, I`m with Bally`s and I`ve never had problems with them.

What situation? You cancelled your membership. You keep trying to contact the corporate office and you leave messages instead... Why? and handle what?
Bally's is no problem. But you don't state what problem you had with the other? Now you are going to make the girls life a living hell???
Sort out what your 'problem' is 'define' it, you've already cancelled and that's it, done. Close the book and move on! Life's too complicated anyway to carry around this baggage too- Tell them ''bye bye'', cancel any payments at the bank yourself- don't rely on them- Go to Bally's and take it out on the weights.

If I were you, I would write up a letter stating what you want. Let them know that as of the date of the letter, that you will not be paying your membership any longer and give them documentation of the the way in which you have been treated trying to verbaly get out of your contract.

Make sure you keep records, names, dates of who you are dealing with for future reference.

Oh, and something very true...you can catch more flys with honey than you can vinager, remember that no matter how frustrated you may feel!!

take it up with visa immedietly... here in the UK we have this 100 day insurance policy on credit cards. It should be the same or similar in your country. It worth a try as I suspect that your credit card company being 'visa' will have the responsibilty of giving you back your money and chasing their business associate(premier in this case)to follow the policy as advertised by them.. I sure they can auto debit or reciept premiers account and or yours for that matter- otherwise none of us could trade, buy, sell online or shops for that matter.. there you have it- I believe visa needs to know as insurance on purchases is with them(visa)..
i wish you the best luck and your consumer rights

Don't make the girl's life miserable. Like dfly said...give a little honey (be nice) and she will work with you and not against you. When my clients get irrate with me, I tell them to call me back after they calm down! It will work for you, believe me.

ok maybe `living hell` is to harsh but still

I hate when people are unfair, when I go to a store and return things I get my refund right away. So, this is not any different.

...fitness clubs are known for a bad reputation when it comes to contracts and refunds.

...I have been calm and nice but she had a week to get back to me....

if I do something like that at work I get in s#$# so I demand the same

Bicep, if you are going to write a 'formal' letter, be sure to get your spelling and grammar down first. Your posts reflect that unfortunately. They won't take you serious if the leter is poorly written. I always have my girlfriend review anything I write, except my posts at FT...:( Trust me, it can make a world of a difference in this shallow, superficial and evil society of bureucratic corporations. Go get your hard-earned money back.:angry::angry:
