Hi, i recently went to GNC and bought some Pm Protein. it says ur supposed to take it before u go to bed. does this mean i can't take it after my workouts?:(

It probably has slower absorbing proteins like casein and milk proteins in it. After your workout, you want protein that absorbs quickly like whey so you can prevent the catabolic process from going much longer after you work out. You might be able to use it post-workout depending on what kind of protein profile it has, but you're probably better off sticking with a whey isolate or something similar.

You should take it after your workout, that is the best time to take protein shake.

well mzakal on the label it says it has slow, and fast proteins, as well as whey concentrate, l-glutamine, and calcium caseinate. i guess ur right, i should go buy a regular whey instead, and just use this one at night. By the way the brand i have in GNC Pro Performance PM Protein.

Do not take this protein post workout. It is made for nightime, it is a slower absorbing blend. You want protein post workout for sure, but you want a pure whey isolate or concentrate here for quick absorbtion.

You can take your PM protein throughout the day also if you like, you also want slower digesting proteins then.

Next time though, you needn't buy PM protein. Just buy whey and at night, add some fats to it to slow down digestion and have some cottage cheese. Much cheaper.
