Hi,
Don't eat instant oatmeal. You should eat the 10minute kind, old fashioned kind.
Protein bars are not all what they should be. Some have a lot of calories, etc. I would skip eating two a day.
Are you drinking a lot of water?
What kind of wheat bread do you buy? You should have stone ground whole wheat. Make sure it is not enriched. Hope this helps...

Cograts on the 40 lbs already gone!Instead of the protein shakes have real food if you can, as the shake is quicker to digest. I'm not saying the shakes are no good, but real food is better. Are you doing any weights and or cardio?

shene, if you are eating the unsweetened instant and it keeps you full until your next meal, there really isn't much difference between that and regular oats. Regular oats may be a little bulkier, but the nutritional content is pretty much the same.
You should have an egg and 3 egg whites scrambled togather when you eat your oats.
Make sure you are putting a quarter pound (4oz) of turkey on your sandwich. Have some olive oil dressing on your salad, it will do more for you than fatfree. Olive oil actually helps you burn bodyfat.
What time do you usually work out? If you time your shake right after your workout, it is beneficial. Then have your meat and vegetable meal an hour or so later.
Protein bars can be helpful when you are crunched for time, but mnay use inferior ingredients, so if you can make another whole food meal, you will do better for your body. Canned tuna (in water) over mixed lettuce with some oliveoil vinagrette is one of my favorite quick and portable meals (keep the dressing seperate until ready to eat). A really good dressing is Newman's Olive oil and vinegar.
Definitley have the protein before bed - it will help you gain muscle/lose fat in the long run.
Take a good multivitamin for nutrient backup and hit the wiehgts heavy, in good form. Try doing some HIIT for cardio - it is pretty amazing how that will boost your metabolism.
Good luck! Ask questions, educate yourself and enjoy the process!
