all it takes is experience and creativity...when you workout you have many variables which you can manipulate to come up with new workouts to stimulate your clients and to keep them motivated....cables, free weights, machines, bands, benches, pin racks, balls, medicine balls, etc....exercising bilaterally, unilatterally....shifting focus from strength, to flexibility, to agility, to power, to endurance, etc....the possibilities are endless....gl in your career aspirations..

pay attention to your clients - be very involved with their wokouts - no talking to other trainers or looking around like you are bored while training.
One thing that stuck with me from all of the seminars, etc that I attended as a personal trainer was to 'be the most positive thing in your client's life'. Make hem look forward to training with you, make training a win-win experience.

in terms of personality...I noticed that being talkative, easygoing, humorous, ability to sympathize, go a long way to making you ....this can help motivate your clients and keep coming to you....granted you want them to exercise for the many benefits they get out of it...but if they like you and enjoy working out with you because you're a funny/talkative guy...well so be it...as long as you are getting them results, why does it even matter....perhaps the emphasis for why they come to workout will shift eventually...

It all depends on who you are working with. If they need to be pushed and can handle it...then push them!! If not, then you have to work with their particular personality. If you have to deal with them like a drill instructor then do it!! If they need to be finessed into their workout then that is the way you treat them. No one is the same, you have to treat everyone differently. I particularly want someone to push me...others may not, and you have to have fun with them to get them into it.
What I am saying is take it on a person by person basis....you cannot judge everyone the same.
