I am a new member here...but have been into fitness for a long time but have yet to find what works better for me:
Training one muscle group a week (like the excercise program is set up on this site)
or
training each muscle group 2/3 times a week.
I havent seen a difference if i am overtraining them or not. My goal is for fit lean and tone look...not really size or competition. Anyway...if anyone else has had any experience with training one way or another and could share your experiences i would appreciate the feedback. Ive never tried a routine specificly like this site has set up so i will try it and see what the results are...but i was curious about how others have delt with this issue.
Thnaks...and im enjoying the site a lot...loads of information here, very helpful.

I have trieda few programs on here and find that training 1 muscle group per week was more efective for me.
Thats just me. Training is not the same for any two people.
What works for me may never work for you.
You have to try different methods and techniques until you see results from one.
Welcome to FT and good Luck.

I incorporate both training only once per week and training muscles twice per week. For me, once per week gave me better results (mass) and twice per week helped me build up my strength quicker.

I can only say one thing:
LISTEN TO YOUR BODY!!
It'll tell you if you over-(or under) train.
Now I got extremely sore legs today from several days of jumping, running, boxing, lunges and stretching so instead of working them again (which I was suppose to) I'll do my chest.
Try to feel it and then you'll get the wanted results.
Good luck!
