i was on vacation for a week and then got sick ( and was in the hospital) for one week.. it's been two weeks that i have not worked out. i have noticed that i have lost all the muscle i once had, along with about 10 lbs. i just came back to work and every commented on how skinny i looked.. that is NOT what i want. Previous to that, I was working out consistently for about 3 months. I am working out again, and I wanted to know how long it will take for me to get my body back to where it was two weeks ago.
Not sure how long it would take to come back but there is that thing about 'muscle memory' so you should be able to work yourself back up to where you were a few weeks ago in no time.. I once stopped a for a month and was totally set back.. I lost about 8lbs because I got sick in that time.. it took me about a month or something like that and I was right back to where I was.. will it take you a month to get back to where you were? probably not.. maybe a a few weeks... who knows.. just get back on a strict training schedule and good diet and you'll be back to where you were if not better then you were ever before...
Well you really have not lost all the muscle. It does not just go away like that. What you have lost is a little size, tone, and strength. It should only take you a week or so (depending how sick you were and from the sounds you were very sick), to gain back what you lost. maybe a little longer. Just remeber that you were sick and take it easy for the first few days. Good luck!
