i worked on my calf muscles yesterday. and then went on a one mile run. well i ran some and walked some. it was my first time in some time to work on that area. my upper legs have no problems but my calves boy they hurt. to top things off now today i tried to work through the pain and went to football practice so now i can hardly walk. what do i do i want to keep up with my weight training plan tomorrow?

Sounds like you need to rest those muscles for at least 48 hrs. You could cause serious damage if you don't give them a chance to recover. Get some protien in there also!

Sounds like you are experiencing DOMS(delayed onset muscle soreness). Very common for an area that has not been worked for a long time. Sounds as if you may have slightly over done it, which is normal in the beginning "gung ho" state. Now work as hard on the recovery process, i.e. good diet (protein and good healthy complex carbs), vitamins and minerals. If you do anything tomorrow, do upper body only. Good luck...
