Most people have heard about 'good' cholesterol(HDL) and 'bad' cholesterol(LDL)...as it turns out there're types of LDL some of which create higher risks for heart disease ...another test to consider if heart disease is a big issue in your family...

Interesting post...I have had a problem with the standard for a long time...cholesterol in my opinion is an overrated indication of heart disease. It has become the defacto standard, but new evidence is pointing to other factors that are way more indicative such as homocysteine levels, ipoprotein levels, etc. Alot of money is being made off of cholesterol drugs. :)

Nevermind, did a search and found a post by you..
"The yolk though knocked for cholesterol reasons has as you mentioned, and glad to see someone doing their homework digestive enzymes in it. So, can be beneficial, plus adds 3 grams to the protein content. A good practice for staying lean yet getting the benefits of the "whole" egg is if you are having say 4 eggs every morning, have 3 eggwhites and 1 yolk. "
