I just had body fat retested and theres no change but everyones noticing change so what the hecks going on with my body.My bodys more tone the trainer said I am in great shape and I am looking good.
I have another post on here somewhere that shows my workout the trainer told me today I am adding muscle because I went from basically no muscle tone flabby to working out lifting weights and doing cardio.

She suggested changing from low weights more reps to less reps more weight lowering elliptical times from 1 hr to 45 min strive for 4 miles instead of 5.5 this way I can still bike ride with my husband and not be over doing it for me.
She said to swap up my routine every few weeks now I have been doing that.
I dont want bulky I am so careful with my calorie intake I write down everything and analyze it decide what I could do different if I by chance go over then the next day I go less.
I eat lots of protein and veggies and fruit very lil bread, ceral, rice and pasta trying to stay away from those things.Staying away from all sweets an junkie stuff to.

I need some advice I have been working out for 5 months and feel like I am getting no where at all.
If I can see the change why isnt it showing on the scale or with measurenets of body fat percentage?

Question: why do you care about the scale and measurements if everyone is noticing and you think you look better?

Isn't this better than no one noticing but the scale saying better?

charlie826-
The trainer at the gym did it for me I remb the weight and number from the last time she couldnt find the copy of it somewhere here at home I have that copy of that one. I do need to find it to see if atleast some measurements might have changed. She used the calipers and measured in the 7
different places.

Ecle5C- I care I dont know why I care but the scale and this both bother me I want to see something go down. I think its psychological.(sp)

Oh forgot to add this I am hypothyroid at this time my TSH levels are very low but we are watching them closely for most that would mean a weight loss not for me of course.

T, pay alot more attention to the BF measurement. The BMI is pretty useless for people in training. Julieus Peppers checked at 7% BF last season. By calculating his BMI I saw he fell into the morbidly obese category. As you know, muscle is heavier than fat. You are on the right track. You've lost fat, gained muscle and lost inches if your pants are loser. The best track of how you're doing is: how do you feel, a tape measure and your cloths. Toss your scale, it doesn't matter. Go by the seat of your pants!
