HAHA KA but Dallas has been to the most 8 and is tied with pittsburgh and the 49ers for 5 superbowl victories. Hows your team looking ni free agency and in the draft? Oh yeah you guys lost alen faneca if I'm not mistaken that must suck. Also your qb is a beast and willie parker is a monster when healthy. My team is awesome sent 13 players to the probowl last year tony romo set dallas cowboys records and is dating jessica simpson. Can't beat that. :)

The Pittsburgh Steelers

I'm a diehard fan of the Dallas Cowboys. Although they didn't win the superbowl last year I still love them. I follow them year round. Free agency, the combine, mock drafts, NFL draft, training camp, pre season, regular season EVERYTHING. haha I would just love to talk football with people on here. Whats your favorite team and or player?

Also Dallas has two first round picks this year. Should be awesome.
2008/03/13, 10:52 AM
Lets see how Faneca does with the lowly Jets. Pittsburgh has a long history of letting players like that go, but when was the last time one of them really did anything with another team??? They know when to let go and not over pay.

Thats how you run a successful franchise. Who does your team look to be drafting this year? You check any mock drafts?

Raiders here and no I do not look at a mock draft or the real one. AL will get his 3.9 40 yarder dash saftey regardless of what we need.

haha mutt no one has ever ran a 3.09 in the 40 lol darell green in 1986 ran the faster with a 4.09 but that cant even be verified. I love the raiders qb jamarcus russel dude last year threw the football 80 yards while on his knees thats a feat. I don't think they will be too good this year maybe 8-8 but your owners spends like his pocket is bottomless thats crazy he over pays A LOT

8-8 for the Raiders would be a fabulous season. 4-12 if they are lucky.

awe im sorry bettia.... very sad thing your team last year didnt play as good as i expected. Qb got injured te got injured running back wasnt the same as the year before. I think your team will be better next year. i'll say 9-7 just missing the playoffs.

haha ka. Thats hilarious. I think the raiders will go 8-8 they added some talent this offseason. Yes they overpaid for it but they added it none the less. I think the steelers could be better next year but so many teams are up and down. I think dallas will go 13-3 again. And this time win it all.

My team's the Green Bay Packers!! Hopefully Aaron Rodgers can step up to the plate and take Favre's place, though I'm kind of worried about it.

yea right yessica did you see arron rodgers play against the cowboys when favre went down we almost lost. I thought farve should have retired years ago cause i though arrond rodgers could play. He has great receivers a really good running back an up and coming defense I think he's a franchise qb although I'm sure he'll never hold a candle to favre due to the fact he is the number one passer in most categories. I like the packers too lol

Yeah, he was really good in that game, but what worries me is the small amount of playing time he's actually got. What I would have liked to see was Favre staying this year as the backup QB, just incase Rodgers got us into a hole. (Unless it was cold out, of course, then we'd lose anyways haha) That way, Rodgers could play a lot and get used to it without having all the burden on his shoulders right away. I agree with the great receivers part though, hopefully we get to keep all of our greats on that end.

From what I seen rodgers is ready. Riding the bench is a great learning experience ecspecially in the nfl. As a qb you get to learn the intricacies of the game without have that pressure on your shoulders. Obviously they dont get game experience and he may have a hard time but from what i seen.... he'll do ok he may be a bit gunslingerish and chancy with some of his throws but thats a good thing to have in a young qb. Thats coachable though. I think he'll be more of a roethlesberger type of qb his first year in the league. Just handing the ball off a lot and not really passing that much. Although I think he's capable and maybe they may have him throw 30 times a game you never know. Just watch him through out training game and preseason they may give a hint to how they will approach the game with him. I might pick him up on my fantasyfootball team cause like i said i think he will be good.

Also, thanks for the sympathy. It was a sad day haha. I'm pretty sure we all saw it coming though.

packer fans would jessica. LOL but mike mcarthy wasnt bad his first year in green bay that was is first year right? 13-3 isnt bad in my opinion. And holmgren is going back to seattle. Like i said this may be his last season if they suck again but they are loading up on running backs probably going by running back by commitee approach. they signed dj hackett julius jones and they already had shawn alexander.... crowded backfield if you ask me. Thank god marion barber III has room to roam now with romo... hahahaha love it

Titans here. Team looking avg at best. I do think we have one of the top 2 or 3 coaches in the league. I think the cowboys will drop down a little this yr. Barber is not a back that will carry alot. Romos shine will go down slightly. Pitt should be pretty good just in the wrong conference. GB will also drop down with Favre gone. Rogers will be ok but no way they will be as good as with Favre. Raiders will suck!!!! Seahawks will have problems at runningback. They will let alexander go but jones has not proven to be an every down back. SF has overpaid for everything especially avg talent. If not for the Raiders, Sf would look really bad in the bay
this is for ka -:laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh:

i love vince young but other then him and albert haynesworth who stomped on adre gurodes helmet less head resulting in 30 stiches i cant name another player on the tit...yes i can chris henry? the running back or am i wrong? Barber isnt a back that will carry a lot or you kidding me? He'll get over 1500 yards rushing this year with 15 plus rushing td's. Romo's shine will get brighter and the cowboys may not go 13-3 i expected 12-4 last year but i do think they can duplicate the feat of 13-3. It is possible. Marion the barbarion is the hardest running back to bring down in the nfl, thats whats monte kiffin the defensive coordinator of the eagles said. i agree with green bay dropping also raiders are a year or two out of being good and 2 years of overspending in free agency and making them beocme bad for the next ten years. Seahawks may be better then you think. But long story short COWBOYS RULE :laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh:

barber will not the the only back used by dallas - they will either draft one or get a vetern free agent. barber will not get close to 1500 yds. also, TO will cause problems this yr. his honeymoon is over and it is about time for him to start showing his tail. and if they get pacman, it will be even worse

atiger barber is the starting back. He will be used on first second third and fourth down. He will have a breather back to help him though. Wade phillips already said he would have him as their starter. Not running back by committee. Also T.O. will not cause problems Jerry Jones has clauses in his contract that would cost him money. Wont happen and we dont have enough money to get pacman anyways we have 4 mil under cap unless we reschedule contracts to make room we have 8 draft picks to sign when we draft them. Also the most glaring need for the cowboys is wr and cb we can take a running back in either the second or third round. Most likely a speed back for breaks for marion. Also terrell owens loves romo. I think they are as close to best friends as possible or maybe they are. TO cried for romo haha T.O. will retire a cowboy. Also dallas has the best TE in the nfl are you kidding me this team is geared for a superbowl. romo throws for more yards and td's next season now that marion is the running back less drives stalled cause jj was a nut lover. He couldnt break a tackle from a 12 year old.

enjoy your star shaped glasses but the cowboys will take a step back. I know that barber is the starter but i am telling you, they would not be considering the Rb position a "need" if they thought barber was the complete answer. As for TO, he liked mcnabb too and look at that. TO will be problems. Witten is a good TE but i would not say best. top 5-6 maybe. look to go 10-6 maybe 11-5.
one last thing, dont think wade phillips is calling the shots at dallas, it is jason garrett

I know whos calling shots are you kidding me about jason witten? tell me 5 te's better then him and I'll tell you you know about as much as a tiger knows about football!! to didnt like mcnabb. They dont have rb as a need they need a competent back up thats all. You are crazy if you think a team returning every single starter minus julius jones after adding one of the best linebackers ever to play the game and keeping its offensive and defensive play callers with both the offense and defense staying the same they will drop off? You kidding me? I severely doubt it. i would say 12-4 at the least possibly even better. Its like this demarcus ware and greg ellis are beasts. Combined they had almost 30 sacks last year and this year up coming will be better. Also maybe you are looking at too many mock drafts but dallas does not consider rb a need wr and corner mayber even strong safety not rb marion barber made the pro bowl as a back up!! wait untill he starts IM EXCITED

Read up - they are looking for a running back. rumors about them trying to get mcfadden do not come up becuase they are not talking about it. offensive line is getting old. i will give you that witten is in the top 4 with gates, gonzales, and winslow. I am telling you, cowboys had a great yr but they will not be able to duplicate it. barber has been jones back up until this year. most of the time he could beat him out to start. 10-6

they talk about mcfadden cause he looks like the next adrian peterson/Michael Jordan of football. Everyteam with out a stud running back is hoping he falls to them. Also bill parcells is in miami with the number one pick wanting to rebuild two picks anf a player for his first makes sense cause there are ties to this organization. Also jerry jones is an arkansas alum thats why theres interest. He will not trade up to get him. We are a team on the verge of greatness better to cover thin spots than to try to add to one position already covered. There were also rumors of randy moss coming here. That didnt happen. heres a mock draft by a professional. Although the work professional is thrown around a lot for mock drafts lol. this one is fresh off of yahoo. although its two days old .... read it :)

Frank Coyle, draftinsiders.com
Special to Rivals.com NFL Draft

Last updated: Mar. 11.

1. Miami (1-15)
The Pick: Matt Ryan, QB, Boston College
The buzz: The Dolphins have already bolstered defense with several free agents. Bill Parcells will focus on offense with the team's early selections, beginning with their future leader and cornerstone performer.
2. St. Louis (3-13)
The Pick: Glenn Dorsey, DT, LSU
The buzz: The Rams will focus on their front four, and Dorsey gives them a difference-maker with the ability to make an early impact. .
3. Atlanta (4-12)
The Pick: Chris Long, DE, Virginia
The buzz: The Falcons are trying to regroup after a disastrous 2007 season. Long is the safest pick in this draft class, and he'll give the team a cornerstone on which to build.
4. Oakland (4-12)
The Pick: Darren McFadden, RB, Arkansas *
The buzz: Owner Al Davis always tries to make a splash, and he won't be able to pass up McFadden's star quality.
5. Kansas City (4-12)
The Pick: Sedrick Ellis, DT, USC
The buzz: The Chiefs' defensive line has been miserable in recent years. Ellis could help turn that around in a hurry.
6. N.Y. Jets (4-12)
The Pick: Vernon Gholston, DE/LB, Ohio St.*
The buzz: The Jets may look to add a bookend pass rusher for new free agent Calvin Pace. Gholston is flying up the charts and would be a good pick here.
7. New England (From San Francisco) (5-11)
The Pick: Leodis McKelvin, CB, Troy
The buzz: The Patriots defense took some major hits in the secondary. They will look to add a top-flight cover man early in the draft. McKelvin's special teams ability is a big plus.
8. Baltimore (5-11)
The Pick: Jake Long, OT, Michigan
The buzz: The Ravens are looking to improve their line - especially at tackle ? because veteran bookend Jonathan Ogden is expected to retire.
9. Cincinnati (7-9)
The Pick: Rashard Mendenhall, RB, Illinois*
The buzz: The Bengals could surprise here and add a well-rounded feature back to balance out their offense.
10. New Orleans (7-9)
The Pick: Mike Jenkins, CB, South Florida
The buzz: The Saints defense got toasted weekly last season. Jenkins would be a fine addition for this battered secondary.
11. Buffalo (7-9)
The Pick: Keith Rivers, LB, USC
The buzz: The Bills are looking for playmakers in their front seven, and Rivers would be an excellent fit on this unit.
12. Denver (7-9)
The Pick: Ryan Clady, OT, Boise St.*
The buzz: The Broncos must protect young quarterback Jay Cutler's blind side. Clady may be the best pure left tackle in this fine class.
13. Carolina (7-9)
The Pick: Brian Brohm, QB, Louisville
The buzz: The Panthers will consider adding a quarterback of the future if Brohm is still on the board in middle of the round.
14. Chicago (7-9)
The Pick: Jeff Otah, OT, Pittsburgh
The buzz: The Bears have major needs on offense along the line and at wide receiver. This prospect would be a good addition to an aging unit.
15. Detroit (7-9)
The Pick: Derrick Harvey, DE, Florida*
The buzz: The Lions defensive line would benefit from a top-flight edge rusher, and Harvey is moving up draft boards quickly this postseason.
16. Arizona (8-8)
The Pick: Kentwan Balmer, DT, North Carolina
The buzz: The Cardinals defense needs a playmaker upfront. Balmer could be a rookie starter in Arizona.
17. Minnesota (8-8)
The Pick: Chris Williams, OT, Vanderbilt
The buzz: The Vikings will draft into the deep offensive tackle class early. We think they'll use their first-round pick to address the need.
18. Houston (8-8)
The Pick: Antoine Cason, CB, Arizona
The buzz: The Texans will look to add a top cover man and will seriously consider Cason with this pick.
19. Philadelphia (8-8)
The Pick: Malcolm Kelly, WR, Oklahoma *
The buzz: The Eagles are looking for a true No. 1 receiver and they like this former Sooners playmaker.
20. Tampa Bay (9-7)
The Pick: Jonathan Stewart, RB, Oregon *
The buzz: The Buccaneers are looking to add a starting feature back because of Cadillac Williams' injury problems.
21. Washington (9-7)
The Pick: Quentin Groves, DE, Auburn
The buzz: The Redskins will address the defensive line early. Groves had some adversity as a senior but is a solid prospect who is rising fast in the postseason.
22. Dallas (from Cleveland (10-6))
The Pick: DeSean Jackson, WR, California *
The buzz: The Cowboys have little depth and the receivers they do have are advancing in age. Terrell Owens and Terry Glenn will be 34 or older by opening day.
23. Pittsburgh (10-6)
The Pick: Aqib Talib, CB, Kansas *
The buzz: The Steelers hope to address their secondary early in the draft, especially on the corner. .
24. Tennessee (10-6)
The Pick: Calais Campbell, DE, Miami *
The buzz: The Titans suffered huge losses along the line in free agency. This area could be addressed with a few picks early in the draft.
25. Seattle (10-6)
The Pick: Branden Albert, OG, Virginia *
The buzz: The Seahawks have searched for a replacement for Steve Hutchinson in recent years. The search ends here if they land this blue-chip guard.
26. Jacksonville (11-5)
The Pick: Phillip Merling, DE, Clemson *
The buzz: The Jaguars will look to address their front four - outside and inside - early in this draft. Merling would be the best available end in this scenario.
